Dear Westborough Families,

We are excited to launch a new district wide communication and notification tool for the coming school year, called Parent Square.

Action on your part is not required. If you do not set up a ParentSquare account for yourself, you will still receive email and phone notifications from Westborough Public Schools as you have in the past, just from a new source.

There are benefits to setting up an account. We highly recommend that both parents/guardians set up an account. The social media style application provides a web-based portal and a mobile phone app. The user-friendly interface consolidates postings from our various schools and offices in one place, lets you configure your notification preferences, and provides two-way communication and language translation. Also, it will take time for WPS administrators and teachers to learn and make use of all of the features, but eventually, through the application, you will be able to respond to classroom sign-ups and forms, view calendars and events, and communicate with your students’ teachers directly. We hope to ramp up our adoption of the new tool this year, and reach full implementation in stages.
