Athletics FamilyID Registration Instructions
In order to participate in a sport at WHS or GMS, the following steps must be completed before the start of practices/tryouts.

Step 1:  Students must register with a parent/guardian online using FamilyID during the open registration period.

By registering online, parents/guardians and students provide consent to participate in athletics, acknowledge our WPS Student-Athlete Handbook, and acknowledge that they have been provided health information, including concussion education and opiate use/misuse materials.

**A successful FamilyID registration will be followed up by a confirmation email to the account entered through the registration process.**

Step 2: Submit a current physical to the school nurse. Please do not assume a current copy is on file. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure one is handed in. WHS student-athletes can scan or email a copy to connors@westboroughk12.org or deacetisc@westboroughk12.org for WHS, or zhangl@westboroughk12.org for GMS. 

**Physicals are considered "current" for 13 months from the date of the appointment. A physical expires on the date 13 months after it was completed, a student will be unable to participate in practice or contests until a new physical is turned in to the nurse and the Athletic Trainers are notified.**
 

Step 3: Students should check their school email regularly for information about the first week of the season and ongoing updates.

After teams are selected, the following will occur:

  • WHS Athletes and a parent/guardian will attend a seasonal athletics meeting at WHS with the Athletic Director and their individual coaches in the WHS auditorium.

  • SWAY Concussion baseline testing will be planned with our Athletic Trainers.

  • The billing office will send an invoice to families of students who make a final roster approximately 2 weeks after rosters are finalized. Activity fees are $200 per season, with a family cap of $600 per year. Please email billing@westboroughk12.org with questions or applications for financial assistance.
