Welcome to the Westborough Early Childhood Center!

The Westborough Early Childhood Center (WECC) is a high-quality prekindergarten program that is dedicated to teaching young children with and without disabilities in an inclusive and developmentally appropriate educational program. WECC offers full day and half day options. Children must be 3 years old to enroll. In our classrooms, children with and without special education needs are educated alongside each other. Classrooms are co-taught by Masters level educators with early childhood and/or special education certifications, as well as SEI Endorsement. Teachers are highly skilled at differentiating instruction and facilitating children’s learning through play and exploration. The WECC program seeks to nurture a love of learning while fostering independence, age appropriate concept development and social and emotional skill development. Three curricula (Focus on Early Learning, Building Blocks Math, and Second Step) are used across the program to address ELA, Math, and Social-Emotional development. These curricula align to the Massachusetts Early Childhood Frameworks. All WECC classrooms are also supported by related services professionals who work with children within the classroom, aligning their interventions with classroom curricula. Skilled paraeducators -who support the curriculum and reinforce skill/concept development as designed by WECC teachers - are also part of classroom teams and ensure a high level of carryover throughout the entire day.
