CAMP GROUPS

BENNY UNIT

The Benny Unit welcomes our Kindergarten though 2nd Grade campers to summer camp. Campers weekly schedule involves a variety of activities including arts and crafts, active games, team building activities, scavenger hunts, water games, recreational programs, and a weekly special guest.
Grades: Kindergarten - 2nd
Ratio: 5:1, 8:1
Max Enrollment: 50 children

ALSO UNIT
The Also Unit is for campers entering 3rd through 7th grade. Designed for our oldest campers who are looking to expand their camp experience to include adventure-based, highly active, mind-stimulating activities, arts and crafts, active group games, and more. Our Also Unit will end each week with a Friday field trip.
Grades: 3rd - 7th
Ratio: 8:1
Max Enrollment: 75 children

CIT PROGRAM
Max Enrollment: 10 children
Our Counselor in Training Program (C.I.T.) is open to students entering 7th to 10th grade. The program is designed to give hands on training to adolescents who are looking to be future Summer Camp Counselors, whether here at Community Education or at another camp setting. C.I.T.s will be involved in Team-building Challenges, Camp Basics Workshops, Group Assignments, ALL CAMP Activities, Activity Specialist Assistant, and More... 

The Counselor in Training (C.I.T.) program is broken up into two, one week sections, A and B. Both sections must be completed before becoming a certified C.I.T., but sections can be taken in any order. Those individuals who have completed both Sections A & B of the C.I.T. Program may register for the Jr. Staff Program. Jr. Staff registrants may sign up for any amount of weeks regardless of section.

JUNIOR STAFF PROGRAM
Max Enrollment: 10 children
The Jr. Staff program is designed to be the next step in the C.I.T. Program. Jr. Staff will spend the majority of the day assigned to one group, with the purpose of shadowing and supporting our Summer Camp staff. Each Jr. Staff will be required to run an activity with a camp group, and be subject to evaluations during the camp season.

Participants must be entering 7th through 10th grade and have completed the C.I.T. program. Jr. Staff will be involved in Mentoring C.I.T.s, Running Camp Activities, Team Building Challenges, Group Assignments, and More…. 

Those individuals who have completed both Sections A & B of the C.I.T. Program may register for the Jr. Staff Program. Jr. Staff registrants may sign up for any amount of weeks regardless of section.
